Realtors on the Internet

Written by Patrick Cotter

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, over 77% of people start their search for a new home on the Internet.  Other reports indicate that over 70% of the people looking to buy or sell a home also look for a real estate agent first on the Internet.  This fact has drastic implications for agents everywhere.

Industry experts say that for service providers like real estate agents, those who ignore their online presence put themselves at risk of losing business, while those who proactively stay on top of their web presence significantly increase their chances of gaining more business.

Many agents have started to make it standard practice to put up a web page about themselves and their services. Texas Real Estate market slump at end as global credit crunch eases up

Without a doubt 2007 saw some of the toughest moments in the Texas Real Estate market with Realtors out of Oklahoma Real Estate as well as the real estate areas of the Texas Hill Country, West Texas and Central Texas reporting a slump in sales as sellers became cautious, banks cut back on their lending and Texas real estate suffered exactly the same fate as the rest of the country but to a far lesser degree.

The crisis caused in real estate by the spate of foreclosures we have seen caused by the sub-prime mortgage market looks set to come to an end with the help of five global banks which will each pump upwards of $20bn each according to a BBC report which will provide a much needed $600bn cash injection in the currently slow mortgage lending market.
