Guidelines For Submitting Artwork

Non-Digital Artwork

 

  • Line art furnished, such as logos, should consist of a solid black image on a smooth white background and be close to the size that it will be used
  • Color images from a laser or inkjet printers are not recommended. Business cards, Fax copy or newspaper clipped logos are not recommended

Digitized Art - Photographs

  • Recommended format for digital images / logos are: .jpg, .tiff, .eps, .bmp, .pdf, .psd (Adobe Photoshop Document)
  • For best quality of the digital image it is recommended that the size of the image be no lower than 170 dpi. Pictures / logos requested to be downloaded from customer websites is not recommended
  • Hard copy photographs (original prints) are accepted and will be returned upon request.

Digital Media

  • Page layouts from another source (Agency, Designer) - Are acccepted. The media can be submitted by these formats:
    1) Quark Xpress document
    2) PDF
    3) .TIFF / .EPS
  • Full Page Specifications: 7.625 (width) x 10.125 (heighth)
    1/2 Page Specifications: 7.625 (width) x 4.9375 (heighth)
  • Files can be submitted by:
    1) CD
    2) Em ail - files that exceed 4 mega bites have difficulty transferring through the
    mail server. Files must be compressed by stuff it or win zip.

Submitting Ad Copy

Ad copy other than digital images / logos / layouts can be submitted by:
1) Em ail
2) Standard Mail
3) Fax

Acceptable Applications : The following are the applications that are used for design Please note that all applications are on Macintosh platforms:

1) Quark Xpress 4.1 (desktop publishing software)

2) Adobe Photoshop 6

3) Adobe Illustrator 9

4) Adobe Acrobat 5

5) Microsoft Word

6) Microsoft Excel
